Cherishing Woman
for Michelle

She surveys the flat, hands on hips with that ready-to-create-look on her face
Eyes beaming such light from Her Heart, a whisper of eternity;
A knowing-how.
Today is cleaning day, one of many tasks she’ll complete
Her notepad has a holy list and with each check she shall affirm herself successful
--Ambition, love-inspired, is her.
She is off: first to the streetcar, on which poignant nights in the city
She rides for hours, to knit for someone in her family or fields of friends,
Knitting as well the fabric of her life as One in healing serenity;
With contemplative reflection
She tousles wisdom to experience, fetching them in harmonious stich:
What a colourful beingness she makes!
At the essential store, she walks the aisles like a swan navigating driftwood,
Grace is her, as the attends to choosing the nourishment to make them strong, bold and pure;
Clear,
So the light within can spread without, without impediments of dampness
And the ignorance of balance:
Sustainer of The Law of Light and Water—Energy and Essence;
Yin-Yanging and making wholeness.
Even though there is a particular brand of person shopping in this store
She is even then distinguished in her exotic and immense know-how
In the wisdom of studied nutrition, herbal salving and the variety of cultural nuance;
A path of mastery she strides and here delights in making of the foods of the world
A united nation
Based on sensuality and generosity:
Heavenly!
Sorceress of Sesame Oil, Maiden of Miso, Wizardress of Wakame,
Angel of Avocado-Cocoa Pudding
…No title will do
For it is ever-changing
Let her simply be
A relentless beauty…
Laden, she embarks on the returning current
Back to hearth-home with Heart (Always).
She listens to an old choral piece on her headphones on the streetcar
Marvelling at the wondrously nestled harmonies
As she too looks on at the bursting green trees dotting the streets
And the blaze of summer
Streaking with passion;
She recalls singing the song, amongst her choir family,
The inconceivably sweet pulses from time to time
When they all converged into something so in unison
That all their bodies disappeared
As their voice soared to kiss the sky!
Home
And another glance with a solar hymn of a smile
Of the loveliness to create, in cleansing and cooking, in mending and making.
Groceries are laid on counters, washed and some tucked into the fridge;
Water is poured into a pot and set to boil, kale cleaned and chopped, and carrots, celery, broccoli…
Writing the prelude to another masterpiece—kitchen transmuting into temple of alchemy; sanctuary of sweetness, not by the artifice of refined sugars
But the abundance streaming from her hands like rivers of Light,
Reaching from her ocean of luminosity,
From her centre of universe, resplendently giving life as warmth and rhythm.
In magical tandem
She goes about cleaning with an impeccable eye to crafting energy in space
Every corner a birthplace for the love of her task, the baking of ardour, the warming of Home,
A word she knows so deeply, in whichever space that the journey may take her,
--People move, and yet her radiant attention wavers not…
Whomever walks through the door, no matter how subtle, will register with a tinge of joy
By the majesty of this space she has woven:
That her intention and pride,
Oh what she makes alive!
She recalls the gift for him and places it neatly and tenderly on the bed:
She thinks-feels: ‘Tonight I will make of love a dance of the surest and most elevated kind;
A storm in the bedroom, a tsunami to cleave to in surrender
That will wash us to new shores of affection and connection…’
There is a song for lucky men like this
In fact, it was written for them…
She returns to her arts (never duties for she has transcended)
And in them she finds excellency of her self
The grace of movement inspired and excitedly giving
Rambunctious with giving; a joy in it she knows more than anything as her truth.
And with that thought, she sends out a ray of light
That explodes like a firework in the ether surrounding,
Streams of radiance jetting at unbelievable, instantaneous speeds to a network of friends and family
Who all at once recall her, wherever they may be,
And smile as if just gifted…
Bridling to her being, a growing and glowing nebula
She as pillar of light blazing ever-brighter, glowing the glow to greatness
Saving the world in the secret way
By which stars are born;
Virtue Her
The
Essence.
Home shined, Meal magnificently made
She stands back in marvel and accomplishment
To breath the wondrous vibration she’s made, she’s sharing in,
And that smile blooms,
Like an ancient flower in the peak of Springtime
Saying to the world:
What beauty it all is!
Her eyes dilate
Like the arms of a mother
To affirm to a child
Of the truth of this universe
Of the love that is endless and endlessly made
And with that the room is utterly lit
As if a thousand candles decided to hold hands in affectionate circle
The pillar of goldenness that she is
Wavering beauteously
Tickling the stars and
The heart that is Earth…
